Long time VMware customer and have paid for workstation pro. I’m trying to get the most up to date installer for workstation 17 pro (yeah I paid for it) but I can’t get past Broadcom’s registration portal since I use a gmail account.

I think that I must build my profile first. There are some options to select and I choose the first that said Broadcom software or something like that.

May 22, 2024 · Pardon me if this is a stupid question. I saw an article for Reddit post saying that you could download VMWare workstation for free. I used to use it a lot years ago, and thought I would try it again. But I keep ending up at the Broadcom site and it wants me to create a login, or recover one and I'm not a broadcom customer. What am I missing?

Feb 12, 2024 · As of today Feb 12, 2024, VMware vSphere Hypervisor (free edition) is no longer available on the VMware website. Along with the termination of perpetual licensing, Broadcom has also decided to discontinue the Free ESXi Hypervisor, marking it as EOGA (End of General Availability). Regrettably, there is currently no substitute product offered.
