The Host (Korean: 괴물; RR: Gwoemul; lit. Monster) is a 2006 monster film directed and co-written by Bong Joon-ho. It stars Song Kang-ho as a vendor who attempts to rescue his daughter from a monster created by a large amount of formaldehyde dumped in the Han River.
