Lobot was the son of a slaver, who traveled across the galaxy raiding backwater and poor worlds for slaves. At the age of 15, his father was killed when their ship was boarded by pirates. Lobot served as the pirates' slave for two years before he escaped to Cloud City in the gas giant of Bespin.
