  1. Feb 13, 2024 · macrumors member. If the to-do organizing/planning is the most important in your use then Todoist is a good cross platform alternative with native apps on all platforms and a web interface. It lacks the sparkly calendar interface of Fantastical, but you can add a one way calendar feed to sync with all platforms.

  2. Jan 29, 2020 · Fantastical Unifies Its Mac, iOS, and Apple Watch Calendar Experience With Weather, Tasks, Meeting Proposals, and More. Flexibits today is launching version 3.0 of its popular Fantastical calendar app, bringing a host of improvements across all platforms including Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

  3. Mar 13, 2013 · Fantastical doesn't support creating its own alerts separate from Calendar's alerts. The reason we don't is because we feel that the approach other apps take isn't reliable enough to use full time. Other similar apps use something called local notifications to do what you're describing.

  4. Jul 11, 2020 · Jul 11, 2020. #2. I have been using Fantastical for several years. And even though it now cost $40 a year, I still prefer its layout and abilities over the stock app, not to mention the quick syncing between iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. I also like the fact that you can keep up with when your favorite shows, sports, and other events of ...

  5. Mar 25, 2015 · Again Calendar.app and BusyCal handle this better. Fantastical's year view is pretty nice: it shows a heatmap based on how busy each day is, and shows that day's events on hover. Move the folder named com.flexibits.fantastical2.mac to the Trash (this is the only folder you have to move) Restart your Mac. Open Fantastical and set up your accounts again. I am running:

  7. Mar 21, 2024 · Mar 21, 2024. #1. I love the interface of Fantastical - I've used it in the past. What concerns me is the security of my data. I've read the privacy information on the Flexbits website here and here. I am wondering what the community thinks about using a third party app, like Fantastical, and giving it access to my Mac/iPhone calendars.

  8. Oct 7, 2016 · I have used Fantastical 2 and Timepage. Fantastical 2 is great but lacked a major feature for me which is showing traveltimes if you enter appointments via a desktop/laptop in your Google Calendar and ofcourse via your mobile iDevices. Timepage is slick but so difficult to use when you want to create an appointment or adjust and appointment in ...

  9. Aug 28, 2019 · Give your Google account a look over there, and perhaps remove and re-add it to Google accounts. Once you have done that, then open Fantastical 2 - Preferences - Accounts , and make sure that the Google account is enabled. I checked my app-specific passwords, and I didn't create one for Fantastical to access my Google calendar. but it has access.

  10. Feb 12, 2020 · I use Fantastical on my iMac and iPhone, I wonder if that has done something to contribute to the issue. Although, using the same AppleID on a clean iOS on a separate iPhone didn't help kick things into life either so maybe it's irrelevant. Was considering uninstalling them from all devices but not sure it'll make any difference.
