If the to-do organizing/planning is the most important in your use then Todoist is a good cross platform alternative with native apps on all platforms and a web interface. It lacks the sparkly calendar interface of Fantastical, but you can add a one way calendar feed to sync with all platforms.

Mar 13, 2013 · Fantastical doesn't support creating its own alerts separate from Calendar's alerts. The reason we don't is because we feel that the approach other apps take isn't reliable enough to use full time. Other similar apps use something called local notifications to do what you're describing.

Mar 25, 2015 · Again Calendar.app and BusyCal handle this better. Fantastical's year view is pretty nice: it shows a heatmap based on how busy each day is, and shows that day's events on hover. BusyCal also has a nice year view, with small colored bubbles representing individual events. Adding events using natural language.

I've read the privacy information on the Flexbits website here and here. I am wondering what the community thinks about using a third party app, like Fantastical, and giving it access to my Mac/iPhone calendars.

Aug 28, 2019 · Give your Google account a look over there, and perhaps remove and re-add it to Google accounts. Once you have done that, then open Fantastical 2 - Preferences - Accounts , and make sure that the Google account is enabled. I checked my app-specific passwords, and I didn't create one for Fantastical to access my Google calendar. but it has access.
Feb 12, 2020 · I use Fantastical on my iMac and iPhone, I wonder if that has done something to contribute to the issue. Although, using the same AppleID on a clean iOS on a separate iPhone didn't help kick things into life either so maybe it's irrelevant. Was considering uninstalling them from all devices but not sure it'll make any difference.
