  1. Dec 14, 2020 · HOWEVER i did see/read that ADATA switched to a slower controller, and NAND on the sx8200 Pro, i was aware when i bought them. However, the real-world performance based on a few benchmarks i saw were completely negligible and didn't deem the 79$ price tag unworthy as its still a solid NVMe with solid middle of the road speeds.

  2. Feb 19, 2022 · Adata xpg sx8200 pro vs samsung 980. So I want a 500gb ssd for my laptop (that support PCIe 3.0), which one should I consider? Options are sx8200 pro and samsung 980, and maybe crucial p5 if it's better. 980 is 2 years newer, is it matter? What about being dramless?

  3. Jul 14, 2020 · This is x2 PCIe 2.0, that is 2x5 Gbps = 10 Gbps, then you have 8b/10b encoding that brings it down to 8 Gbps, and finally there's some latency/overhead that lowers it further to roughly 900 MB/s. Not open for further replies. Hi there I've just bought a new ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO SSD (512GB) today.

  4. May 29, 2012 · 4,525. May 7, 2021. #2. It' happened with me one time and the cause for me (I cant be 100% sure) it was because of heat, at that time I didnt check for temperatures in the disk and it reached 60degrees for around 3 months, one day the disk was gone from the pc, exactly the same as you, basically windows detects it as a disk without any format ...

  5. Apr 9, 2019 · By comparing both 1TB, XPG SX8200 Pro = $203 , SP P32A80 = $145. R/W XPG = 3500/3000 , SP = 3200/3000. I don't know which is better for performance (not considering R/W speed as both similar), durability and quality. Any experienced or who are using these M.2 ssd, I need some advice. Thanks~. 6. Mar 30, 2019 · briantoanle. I'm using a ADATA SX8200NP 480gb and the write speed is very slow. Write speed hovers around 550ish for Sequential. Read speed is also slower than other benchmarks I saw but not as bad as Write. My motherboard is MSI H370 Gaming Pro Carbon, the ssd is plugged into the top slot with m.2 shield. It is also my boot drive and running ...

  7. Nov 17, 2020 · 11. 4,765. Nov 17, 2020. Solution. #13. Looking at the spec of that SX8200 SSD, it has Micron 3D NAND and uses a SM2262EN controller. Micron operate a quality 3D NAND foundry and the SM2262EN is a good solid controller. That is a pretty good pairing of NAND + controller IMHO. Moreover, this disk gets an 86% 5-star rating on amazon.com.

  8. Nov 26, 2019 · Nov 26, 2019. #1. I just bought a new ssd M.2 ADATA SX8200 Pro, but for some reason this is not recognized by the Bios of my mobo ASUS PRIME x370-PRO. I cant see the SSD in the Sata section "M.2" there is saying that the socket is empty. But then in the boot list i can see the SSD "SX8200PNP". I have windows 8 and there i can't see the drive as ...

  9. Mar 24, 2021 · I'm losing my mind with this one. Couple of days ago my adata ssd had just disappeared from my system. I tried rebooting multiple times, nothing. I tried uninstalling the SATA AHCI controllers, nothing. I swapped it around with my boot disk (samsung evo 250gb) and nothing. The a-data disk shows up in bios but not anywhere else.

  10. Jan 28, 2020 · The Rocket has changed recently to less DRAM, not a huge factor for consumer use. The SX8200 Pro's controller is better oriented at consumer workloads (e.g. game loading) but the Rocket's is more powerful. Different SLC cache designs as well - Rocket is more consistent, SX8200 Pro is larger for bursty workloads.
