Most are steel frame, but have some lightweight aluminum frames as well. The oldest was built in 2010, the newest built this year.
Sep 11, 2019 · Wilson’s finishes-an honest opinion. I want to preface this by saying that I am a HUGE Wilson Combat fan. I currently own 4, not including my Beretta Centurion. BUT I’d like to have a very honest/frank discussion about Wilson’s finishes, primarily the Armor Tuff finish. Note: I own one factory blued Wilson.
Apr 2, 2021 · For double stack 1911-inspired guns, the 2011 platform dominates and for good reason - it’s the better shooting gun vs. the wilson EDC 9 series. Don’t get me wrong, the wilson is a good gun too, and is a more concealable package which may serve your needs better for CCW. But for pure performance the 2011 is still king.

Feb 7, 2022 · The SFX9 isn't necessarily comparable to anything Baer has and isn't really a 1911, although it looks like a good gun. It's like comparing a Glock 19 to a single stack gun. For a general use 1911 I'd say go with the Baer, for a good carry option Wilson are hard to beat. If you're going to customize it go with a Wilson.
Mar 17, 2011 · Any semi custom 1911 is head and shoulders above Kimber in both materials, fitting, and accuracy. My only hesitation with Wilson's price is that I can have one built a by one of the top gunsmiths for the same or a tad more than Wilson's top of the line. Harrison-Baer Custom.
