  1. Nov 18, 2023 · A personal story of a brilliant man with a powerful creature within him having to run from the military all around the world, his past haunts him, Hulk does incredible things, Ross has a serious hate boner for Banner/Hulk, some antagonist like Blonsky comes along trying to use their power wrongfully and Hulks comes out on top showing he's the strongest there is.

  2. Dec 19, 2020 · THE INCREDIBLE HULK is also my favorite Marvel film, but it's very frustrating how much footage was cut. The deleted scenes (which were all written by Edward Norton) give all the characters much more depth, makes the story a lot more coherent and shows the sheer tragedy that surrounds Bruce (from trying to commit suicide, to breaking down after feeling joy for the first time in five years).

  3. Jul 27, 2023 · Marvel had some movies that were bottom of the bucket for sure, like Ant Man 2, Thor 2, Incredible Hulk, Captain Marvel and Iron Man 2, but none of them were bad movies. For the first eleven years, Marvel had a great track record and there wasn’t a stinker in the bunch. Than Phase Four started, and there’s been few gems since.

  4. The Incredible Hulk was made on a stipulation that Marvel fully produced the film in-house like with Iron Man, but Universal would retain a right of first refusal for both that film's distribution, and Hulk films made afterwards as a result of relinquishing the character's film rights earlier than their intended expiration

  5. Apr 17, 2022 · Hulk got the right treatment in the rest of the MCU installments. The Jekyll and Hyde theme is essential to Hulk's appeal. (just dont go crazy with it or try to be so philosophical about it like the Ang Lee movie) Marvel Studio definitely understands the character better than the creative team making this movie. 0.

  6. Feb 28, 2022 · The military was after him. The film mentions Project Rebirth, SHIELD and Stark Industries in the beginning and how Ross was trying to replicate the super soldier serum, which was also mentioned again in The Avengers. The film has been shown in MCU reels and Feige and team have constantly talked about it as part of the canon.

  7. The three biggest things that hurt it were: 1.) Coming after Iron Man, which revitalized the "comic book movie" for countless people as much as "The Dark Knight" did, which came out the same year. Compared to those two that literally changed the game, Hulk, while a pretty good movie, didn't really innovate anything.

  8. Dec 17, 2021 · They do not own the Hulk or the film rights to the Hulk, and have not held production rights to a Hulk film since around 2005. It is part of the MCU yes. Its quite literally the second installment. Disney can only use the Hulk (profit off of solely) in Avengers related projects.

  9. Jul 7, 2013 · However, The Incredible Hulk is still top-notch in my book. TL;DR - Yes, The Incredible Hulk is greatly underrated. The only significant failure of TIH was excluding the origin story. I understand that they were trying to avoid repeating themselves, since Ang Lee's "Hulk" came out just 5 years earlier.

  10. Jul 8, 2020 · 2000-2009. 112 minutes. This was a wholly forgettable film. I turned it off five minutes ago and I can barely recount enough to write about. Doesn’t feel like a Marvel Universe film, and is a great example of how a strong franchise (at least financially and cultural-impact wise) does not have to be built on a strong foundation.
