May 19, 2023 · Update: Another option would be: Stop the Sophos System Protection Service. This will flush a telem file to disk. Start it up again and leave it while the issue occurs, leave it for say 5 mins. Stop the service. This will flush a new telem file under: C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Endpoint Defense\Data\LuaTelemetry.

This enables you to set the password to 'password' on the machine. 1:open services.msc. 2: stop Sophos Anti-Virus. 3: open notepass as admin. 4: open C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\Config\machine.xml.

Mar 17, 2023 · I am looking to replace my XG 125 hardware firewall with Sophos Home Edition. This is for a home data center. I understand the Home Edition supports up to 6GB and four processor cores, so I'd be looking for something at least that size, preferably a bit larger (say 16GB or more). Beefy enough to support IPS/DPS/anti-virus/Web protection, etc.

I have used Sophos XG Home for years mostly because it was the only solution I could find that would block P2P file sharing to avoid legal hassles from guest users and visitors. However, their software has really went down hill since v16 of the firmware. It is almost completely unusable because of instability.
Pre-define web filer policy, IPS make easier for a newbie. Sophos Central gives you the ability to manage many firewalls remotely and with other Sophos products. The built-in reporting system gives a really good view over the network. Con: Home version limit to 4 core and 6GB memory. WebGUI is heavy and slow.

I did this last year. 3. Package it in a .INTUNEWIN file. 4. Upload it to Intune as a Win32 app. 5. install line: uninstall_sophos.bat uninstall: uninstall_sophos.bat.
Apr 12, 2020 · Sophos endpoint only shows sites that were blocked or warned. It doesn't record history of any site that hasn't been filtered. It doesn't show time spent on any sites or apps either. Sep 23, 2022 · Under the Tools menu, there is Product Logging. Elevate the process and under the SSP section, set SSPService.exe to debug and click Save. The log file "C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Endpoint Defense\Logs\SSP.log" will then hopefully give you an idea as to what is happening that is keeping SSPService so busy.
