Jan 4, 2002 · It's late August 1938 and The Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maattschappij (KLM) operate three flights a week to the Netherlands East Indies that depart Amsterdam each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. To give the passengers greater comfort on this long six day journey to the far east the modern all metal monoplane Douglas DC-3 airliner used on this epic flight has had its seating reduced from 21 to 12.

An excelent picture of KLM Boeing 747-406 landing at St. Maarten (Princess Juliana). The best I could get is KLM DC-9 taking off from Teesside Airport (Durham Tees Valley)in my home town in England which wouldn't be very exciting.

Sep 12, 2024 · Probably the highlight of the year! Almost all KLM flights are operated by the 787-9, sometimes with the 777-200 and rarely with the 77W. That day was the rare day that the 77W was sent to MEX and Orange Pride oversaw the flight.
