With a mind trick, a Jedi can implant a suggestion in some else's mind and have them do as the Jedi wishes, often avoiding a potentially violent confrontation.
Apr 13, 2017 · A Jedi cannot manipulate an android's mind per se, but if you follow the canon of story where they are insanely powerful and able to manipulate things on a small scale using the Force, then it could be reasoned that a Jedi with the knowledge of building and programming droids (e.g. Anakin Skywalker), could reprogram a droid using the Force; effectively altering/controlling its mind.

Jun 5, 2011 · Certain species are naturally immune to jedi mind tricks. The species performing the trick can also be a factor. Since different species would have different types of brain wave patterns, it's logical to assume that certain species would be much harder to impossible for humans to effect.

The ability to control animals' minds is a Force power that can be learned in the Legends video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords , and that power is named "Beast Control".

Specifically, Cad Bane is normally immune to Jedi Mind Tricks, yet Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Mace Windu are able to successfully Mind Trick him by working together.
