Feb 3, 2022 · what do you mean ? just install the frozen throne client ver 1.30 into a c:\warcraft3 directory, on your hard drive, with your old cd key, and refuse the prompt for upgrading. You will not be able to play multiplayer on bnet or w3champions server, but thats all.
Nov 22, 2022 · Do not listen to people who say it isn't possible, because it is easily doable with the official CDs or the legacy installer which you can download from Blizzard if you have registered your CD keys on battle.net. Install Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne from your CDs as normal.
30 votes, 20 comments. true. If I try to install WC3 using the Reign of Chaos file from Blizzard's website, eventually it just opens up the Battle.net client to the WC3 Reforged page.

Jan 14, 2024 · Beyond the rebalancing, the main reason I wanted to keep this version is that since February 2018 (v1.29), the game received an update supporting widescreen 16:9 display. Trying it out, it looks much better on the screen, and you get a broader view. Also the framerate has been unlocked so the game looks much smoother now.

These software allows you to play warcraft 3 online: Gameranger (Uses 1.26a) - has quite a huge number of players. Eurobattle.net - (Uses 1.28a for custom maps / 1.26 for data) Utilizes battlenet GUI. Can host your own game.
