Sep 28, 2021 · "Skate logo" - I think that's just a logo that automatically identifies a brand and looks cool slapped on a skateboard. So this one is KA-era SG. Kim mentioned that this stylized SG was the skate logo for the Ultramega OK era. And I guess the Badmotorfinger logo counts as one as well.

I don't want it to simply say "Soundgarden" of course. I'd like something relatively simple, iconic, and clearly Soundgarden.

Mar 3, 2020 · It was designed for the album and just looks cool, basically. the symbol was illustrated by Mark Dancey, who is the guitarist of a sub pop band called Big Chief. The middle is a sparkplug—dunno why though. Don’t know about the symbol. The name comes from a Montrose song, Sammy Hagar sang in that band, before Van Halen.
The details here are impressionistic but it seems like he’s imagining a black hole sun would be respite from these conditions and his state of being. The first verse seems to have some negative feelings toward himself seemingly, a snake within disguises. Normally rain could be seen to have a cleansing effect, unless it’s a dangerous flood ...
