PAWS is the Philippines peak animal welfare organisation. Established in 1954, The Philippine Animal Welfare Society is a registered NGO.
Our main work is to educate and disseminate information concerning animal welfare, animal care, animal control, and other animal-related concerns. PAWS campaigns actively against animal cruelty and pet neglect, including activities like dogfights, horse fights, and wild animals being used for entertainment.

Our adoptable dogs are all spayed/neutered (kapon) and vaccinated. In compliance with The Anti-Rabies Act of 2007, dog owner’s must keep their dog (s) within their property to ensure their safety. Submit the adoption application form. Attend the Zoom interview.
Direct Animal Care. Volunteers who have had their pre-exposure rabies shots can walk and bathe the dogs, groom and socialize the cats, help with cleaning cages and feeding, and other tasks that require direct contact with animals.
Animal Cruelty & Pet Neglect. Animal cruelty and pet neglect are criminal offenses. You must intervene. If the reporting citizen is committed to executing an affidavit and appearing in court, PAWS will provide FREE legal assistance. Do not turn a blind eye.
The Aspin Club aims to alleviate the abuse and mistreatment of Aspins and to show the beauty and intelligence in these native-bred dogs. The club hosts fundraising events such as the “Great Dog Dash” and Halloween pet costume contest.
It is the purpose of this Act to protect and promote the welfare of all terrestrial, aquatic and marine animals in the Philippines by supervising and regulating the establishment and operations of all facilitiesutilized for breeding, maintaining, keeping, treating or training of all animals either as objects of trade or as household pets.
