The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Medicine was established in June, 1983 with 48 medical scholars by virtue of Resolution No. 806, series 1980, passed on December 15, 1980 by the Board of Regents.
The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) will start accepting applications (on-line) for freshmen students (undergraduate programs) for Academic Year (AY) 2024-2025 starting December 01, 2023. For AY 2024-2025, there will be an on-site PLM Admission Test (PLMAT).

Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) is the first and only chartered and autonomous university funded by a city government. It was created by the Congress of the Philippines by virtue of Republic Act No. 4196 or “An Act Authorizing the City of Manila to Establish and Operate the University of City of Manila” on June 19, 1965.
The Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree is a five-year graduate program intended to teach students the essentials of being a Medical Doctor. The program consists of three years of academic instruction, one year of clinical clerkship and one year of post-graduate internship.
Curricula & Degree Programs. The PLM curricula, from the licensure programs to minimum course requirements, are based on the prescribed curriculum of the Commission on Higher Education, but the PLM education system exercises full autonomy to alter or enhance its own curricula to maintain the primacy of its excellence.
