On the software ubiquiti is a jack of all trades, master of none while mikrotik is a master of being a router, but really poor at doing other things, then on the hardware side its the same deal as both are totally different, so essentially it really depends on use case when comparing these 2.
You are correct that the RB4011's switch chips do not support VLAN offloading (the RB2011 and RB3011 do). However the CPU in the RB4011 is ridiculously powerful for the ports it has, and Mikrotik thus expects it to be no issue for performance to perform any VLAN-related switching in software. The same is tru of the RB1100AHx4.
Tilera can't handle compute and Mikrotik have nothing bigger. Fwiw, we (web host with worldwide Anycast network) run Mikrotik exclusively and get great performance from CHR on x86. We've some RB4011 doing basic routing with 20+ firewall rules getting 5Gbit+.

Nov 22, 2019 · Mikrotik RB4011 has a similar bypass method to eap_proxy and also has a method involving the 802.1x keys via wpa_supplicant as does Ubiquiti. For about the same price, you can get a Mikrotik CRS326-24G-2S+RM. More gig ports, little bit different specs. Just purchased mine a few weeks ago and it's excellent.
Aug 5, 2020 · Easy, setup a network between the RB4011 and 4G router, this network is only for management because the connectivity is not being forwarded by the 4G router. If your 4G router only responds to IPs from networks that have been declared on the device just SRC-NAT the transit going to the 4G router.
Jul 20, 2020 · Supports 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps, 10 Gbps and is compatible with the rb4011. You can always do a "router on a stick" topology, where WAN goes into Switch SFP+1, gets VLAN tagged and your RB4011 goes to switch SFP+2, takes WAN through VLAN and NATs it to your untagged LAN .

Sep 20, 2022 · Using a container for another mqtt seems excessive. A container might have logging subsystems etc if you aren't careful that causes writes, but a good container shouldn't use it and be as stateless as possible (for this purpose). Apr 9, 2024 · The L009 won’t come close to 1 Gbps routed much less 2.5. It can only utilize the 2.5 Gbps throughput on that port if configured as a switch port (LAN to LAN). AX3 can do just over 1 Gbps routed. But not much more. You won’t get 2 Gbps or more routed. 4011 and 5009 can do over 2 Gbps routed.
