  3. Sep 13, 2018 · "Quick Parts" is a term that really has no meaning because it is a menu of disparate Word features whose only commonality is that they are on the menu.. I expect but do not know that you mean AutoText which can be very useful. Here is my page on AutoText and other Building Blocks which you may find useful.

  4. Jan 11, 2016 · I write lengthy reports and have an extensive set of Quick Parts that I regularly drop in as boilerplate. These are on my Win 10 Desktop -- I have Office 365. I have purchased a new Surface Pro 4, also with Office 365 installed (same MS account.) How can I move my Quick Parts Gallery to this new machine? Thanks in advance. Chris

  5. My company uses document templates that contain many Quick Parts. I've been using them without problem in Office 2016 for awhile now, but all of a sudden, as of today, the Quick Parts don't work. I click on the Quick Part header and normally of the Quick Parts that I can choose from would drop down, but as of today nothing is dropping down.

  6. Jan 30, 2020 · I cannot find any instructions for Word 2016 (the F9 solution only applies to Word 2010/2013) Cannot find how to change the Document Properties. I have a SharePoint list that is populates this document template. However some fields that are not applicable to the end user still show as the [quick part] field instead of just blank.

  7. Feb 24, 2016 · Have recently rollout out Office 2016 via Office 365 onto a client site. Most of the site is working fine, but one user is having an issue with Word. When he tries to use Quick Parts (Insert > Quick Parts) as soon as he clicks on the menu word will crash and have to restart. This is happening on a Windows 7 Home edition.

For the Quick Parts function, it is only available on Word for Microsoft 365, Outlook for Microsoft 365, Word 2021, Outlook 2021, Word 2019, Outlook 2019, Word 2016, Outlook 2016, Word 2013, Outlook 2013, Word 2010, Outlook 2010. Unfortunately it is unavailable on Outlook Web Mail app now.

May 30, 2016 · In reply to SheenAli_MSFT's post on May 30, 2016 hi sheen, thanks for the info. i ended up enabling the label at the content type level in the document library and adding {approval status} to the label format. i was then able to select the label option from the quick parts within word. once i saved the document and reopened it the information appeared.
