Ptychosperma macarthurii, commonly known as the Macarthur palm, is a species of tree in the palm family Arecaceae. Its native range is northern Cape York Peninsula in Queensland with a number of disjunct populations in the Northern Territory and New Guinea.
Originally from northeastern Australia and areas of New Guinea, this small, suckering palm has become widely distributed as an ornamental in tropical and warm subtropical areas. The MacArthur Palm produces a dense cluster of slender canes, each topped by a small crown of light green, pinnate leaves.
