In bedrock the rod protects a 64x64x64 area so you will need a few rods. Also in bedrock the lightning rod redirect channeling lightning too? It doesn't do that in Java. I mean i don’t really think you NEED it but if you are really worried than you can put a few on each corner and it should do the trick.

This is quite small and don't cover the entirety of my roof. I thought it was weird that the lightning rods have a larger range in bedrock edition, a large enough range to be useful, so I did some tests.

Lighting rod. unfortunately you're playing on bedrock and preventing lightning from not turning your villagers into witches will be difficult if not impossible. people have built trading halls in caves and had their villagers get turned.

Dec 13, 2020 · Skeleton horses can only spawn through skeleton traps. A skeleton trap has a small chance to spawn when lightning strikes. I think it works with lightning rods. A skeleton trap is a wild skeleton horse. If a player approaches this horse within 10 blocks, 4 skeleton horsemen (a skeleton with enchanted gear on a skeleton horse) will spawn.
