This is more of an FYI post for those who are thinking about upgrading the factory stereo system. It was a tough decision for me because I love the stock look, but ultimately I ended up doing a mild upgrade.

One of our members, rufeo690, recently asked about adding even more performance to his 2006 XJR. Stock, these cars make about 310 horsepower to the rear wheels — not bad at all.

A Check Digit used to algorithmatically validate the entire VIN. Indicates the model year of the vehicle (e.g. B:1987 or 2011). Must sometimes be read with postion 7 in the VIN, in order to make an accurate determination. The plant in which the vehicle was manufactured. The code varies with each manufacturer.

Dec 8, 2010 · 33 Heater pump fails – renew brushes (brushes N/A from Jaguar) 34 Interior lights flicker – clean or renew rear door microswitch. 35 Boot lock barrel seized – clean & lubricate (graphite powder) – use regularly to avoid prob. 36 Worn A-frame bushes cause knocking noises from rear of car – renew.
