May 5, 2024 · I did some searches about the topic and founded that on the older versions of Microsoft Teams it was possible to disable hardware aceleration to get better performance in low specs PC'S. Unfortunately, I cannot find any setting on the latest version of Microsoft Teams that allows me to do that. So here is My question.
Jun 20, 2023 · Unfortunately, disabling hardware acceleration doesn't change anything and video is still being processed with software encoder during the video calls plus some animations become choppier. Also the thread you are referring to is about Teams using dGPU instead of integrated GPU on an Intel Mac. That's completely different issue.

Back up the registry before making changes. The backup helps in restoring the registry if something goes wrong. Launch the Start menu. Search and open “Registry Editor.”
May 18, 2020 · I wanted to try to fix the problem as described in this post. However the option "Disable hardware graphics acceleration" is not available in the List in the "Display" menu. It is not greyed out, it simply does not show up in the list. However it is available in other office products (Excel, Publisher), which work fine.

Feb 10, 2023 · In Edge, open its Settings, then go to System and Performance, the Hardware Acceleration setting is still there in non ARM version 110.0.1587.41 If that setting is not available in the ARM version, the best option would be to report this bug to the Edge Developers, open the Feedback pane in Edge (Alt + Shift + i) and report this bug to the Developers there.
