I took greyhound a lot when I was in college and grad school. The major east coast routes between Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC are nice. Newish buses, leave from a fine part of town, etc. The couple of times I took greyhound in the south was much less good. Old smelly buses, stations were in sketchy areas.

A greyhound ticket for the same journey is $96 (22 hour journey). Because the Greyhound journey is so much longer you also need to factor in the cost of food. You will most likely be stopping at gas stations and fast food restaurants so add another $20 to your ticket price.
Amazing movie, too. Really reminded me of Greyhound in its tone. No heroes, just guys doing their job and being terrified by it most of the time, and victory was surviving for another day. Way ahead of its time for a war movie from the 50's.

This dog should only be dropped if it decreased its lead between the back straight and the finish at its last start, or if it is totally outclassed in the present race.
Nov 15, 2023 · Greyhound is the largest US bus company so a lot really depends on your city / route. In rural areas, it tends to attract those without driver's licenses or money. Often poorer people, those with drug or alcohol problems, or those recently released from prison.
May 8, 2013 · I traveled Greyhound a lot in the U.S. northeast and it was usually fine. In that region, Greyhound may serve routes that either are not covered by flights or are too expensive to fly most of the time. I've since taken Bolt Bus and it was comparable to Greyhound. I've done a little Greyhound travel in California and it has been unpleasant.
