Nov 21, 2021 · SPOILER. Ghostbusters: Afterlife a hate filled rant/review! •I hate the slow pace in the first act, what I hate even more is that by the end of the film that slow pace makes sense. I hate that it made sense because it lays the foundation of the emotional through line and properly develop characters. •I hate how good the cinematography was.

At the end, she comes down and the ghostbusters defeat her. Granted, GB1 and Afterlife change the order of Gozer coming to Earth and the stay puft mareshmellow man running around, and Afterlife changes some other details, but the story beats are largely the same as GB1.
