Feb 13, 2024 · macrumors member. If the to-do organizing/planning is the most important in your use then Todoist is a good cross platform alternative with native apps on all platforms and a web interface. It lacks the sparkly calendar interface of Fantastical, but you can add a one way calendar feed to sync with all platforms.
Mar 13, 2013 · Fantastical doesn't support creating its own alerts separate from Calendar's alerts. The reason we don't is because we feel that the approach other apps take isn't reliable enough to use full time. Other similar apps use something called local notifications to do what you're describing.

All events are properly showing and updated across both platforms, however Fantastical refuses to push notifications for birthdays, new events and event updates for all shared calendars. I even have its app badge icon set to display for new event invitations, however none ever display.
Dec 20, 2015 · I just purchased the Fantastical 2 App and I am not able to add an event from my Watch. I can bring up the Add Event screen using a long press and I can dictate a message. However, when I press done in the top right corner of the Watch App, the screen goes blank for several seconds and returns to a blank screen with the word cancel in the upper left.
