Dec 6, 2011 · Den Den Town, also known as Nipponbashi, is Osaka's answer to Akihabara. Stretching from Shinsekai and reaching as far Namba, this specialty area is most famous for its electronics stores – hence the names “Den Den Town,” and “Denki no Machi,” literally “Electric Town.”
Den-Den Town (literally "the electric town") and its parallel Avenue Otaroad ("the otaku road") are in the south of the lively city of Kansai, not far from the heart of Namba. In the same way as its counterpart in Kanto, the area is quite large, and is close to a faithful replica, but without the heights and newness of the buildings.
Nipponbashi (日本橋), also called Den Den Town, can be considered the "Akihabara" of Osaka. After the Second World War, many consumer electronics stores were opened in the area, while in recent decades there have been many shops specializing in "otaku" interests such as anime, manga, video games, and collectibles.

Feb 6, 2020 · Den Den Town is Osaka’s version of Tokyo’s Akihabara. It’s the perfect place for those who love reading Manga or watching Anime. My dad and I spent around 3 hours here!! There are stores that sold figurines, mangas, fan-made merchandise, complete cosplay costumes, and also areas for people to have some card battles!
