Likewise, Makima has been around for years (probably at least three years to get established before Aki) going through the motions (perhaps gathering the Weapons like Miri) and it's only recently that she finally found Chainsaw Man to make it worthwhile again. Which also makes me wonder why Chainsaw Man was so critical to her plan.
