Jul 19, 2021 · The most recurrent motif and overall theme for Childe is the rolling piano riff comprised of rising and falling sextuplets that starts Letter from Ajax and is expanded in A Letter from Afar. Because of its constant rise and fall, it calls to mind relentless water, fitting for a hydro character so in love with battle.

Childe is a codename, presumably one created to mask his true intentions while he worked in Liyue. It's also the name most of the community uses to talk about him.
