The calendar is composed of two parts reflecting the trimester schedule and the semester schedule. Programs in UPOU operate under the semestral system except for the undergraduate programs, and the MDE and GCDE programs.

The first semester typically starts in August and ends in December. The second semester resumes in January and usually ends in May. The University also accepts enrollees for the special term covering the summer months of June to July.

Aug 9, 2021 · The Office of the University Registrar released the latest adjusted Academic Calendar for AY 2021-2022, listing important dates for the first and second semesters as well as major holidays. For the first semester, registration is from Sept. 13-15, while classes begin on Sept. 17.
