We should build up fellow believers and encourage them to be more like Christ. July 21, 2024. John 15:12-15. In all of God’s creation, just one thing did not meet with His approval. He beheld Adam and said, “It is not good for the man to be alone” ( Genesis 2:18 ).
Jesus is the Word of God, the light that shines in our darkness (John 1:1–5). He “has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption” (1 Corinthians 1:30). Your pain is your reason to run to Jesus. He knows you and cares for you. What’s something you wished you didn’t know? Tell Jesus about it.
Psalm 19:7 says, “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.” This is a clear admission that the soul of the saint sometimes needs to be revived. And if it needs to be revived, in a sense it was “dead.” David says the same thing in Psalm 23:2–3, “He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.”
