Its mission is to promote greater appreciation for and a better understanding of the history and traditions of Sandoval County, New Mexico.
Sandoval County is the heart of historic New Mexico, home to ancient Indian and Spanish villages, and has been continuously occupied for over 1,000 years. Additional information can be found on the county’s website. Created in 1903, its name comes from one of the large land-holding Spanish families in the area.
