Bath Township is one of the nine townships of Summit County, Ohio, United States. A suburb of Akron, the 2020 census found 10,024 people in the township. History. The township was originally known as Wheatfield when it was surveyed in 1808. The name was later changed to Hammondsburgh after Jason Hammond, who settled there in 1810.
