Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) is the first and only chartered and autonomous university funded by a city government. It was created by the Congress of the Philippines by virtue of Republic Act No. 4196 or “An Act Authorizing the City of Manila to Establish and Operate the University of City of Manila” on June 19, 1965.
Mar 10, 2024 · The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) will start accepting applications (on-line) for freshmen students (undergraduate programs) for Academic Year (AY_ 2024-2025 starting December 01, 2023. For AY 2024-2025, there will be an on-site PLM Admission Test (PLMAT).
The PLM curricula, from the licensure programs to minimum course requirements, are based on the prescribed curriculum of the Commission on Higher Education, but the PLM education system exercises full autonomy to alter or enhance its own curricula to maintain the primacy of its excellence.
* Digital System Design and Computer Architecture are required background undergraduate courses. If the student is deficient in these, he/she will have to take them without graduate credits. Master of Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering
