Nordisk Film & TV Fond is a pan-Nordic fund whose objective is to promote the Nordic audio-visual industry through support schemes and initiatives. The operation of Nordisk Film & TV Fond is today based on an agreement between 22 parties: the Nordic Council of Ministers, 5 Nordic Film Institutes and 16 Nordic media companies.
The Nordisk Film & TV Fond is secretariat to the Nordic Council. It is funded by 22 partners: the Nordic Council of Ministers; five national film institutes; and 16 public and private media companies. It also funds the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize at the annual Gothenburg Film Festival.
Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize for outstanding writing of a Nordic Drama series is presented by Göteborg Film Festival, the first of its kind in the Nordic region. 5–7 drama series from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, is each year nominated for the award, which goes to the main writer(s) of the series.
