NLT (an abbreviation of Not Like Them) was an American boy band whose members were Travis Garland, Kevin McHale, Justin Joseph "JJ" Thorne, and Vahe "V" Sevani. They were discovered by Chris Stokes, [1] who signed them to his TUG Entertainment label in 2006.
Formerly one of the two lead vocalists of the boy band NLT, McHale is best known for his role as Artie Abrams in the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee, for which he was nominated for a Grammy Award, three Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and two Teen Choice Awards.
As stated in the casting, any actor who wasn't experienced in theater had to have some sort of musical background. Kevin McHale probably had the most interesting, given that he was once part of a boy band called Not Like Them, or NLT for short.
