If I go to edge, the home/start page which can be customised shows weather for Edinburgh! I have manually customised for London to fix this rather than let it ...
Jan 20, 2020 · This happens despite the speedtest.net server that is selected. Running the speedtest.net test in a web browser shows download speeds of 240MB and pings of 33ms or so. Pinging speedtest.net from a Windows 10 command line shows pings of 26ms. The Windows 10 speedtest.net has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and the problem persists.
Jul 19, 2018 · Finally found the solution in Firefox Quantum. Set browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false in about :config. Default is true. Apparently switches to single processor mode, which is better in less high spec systems. Difference is absolutely astonishing. Now getting 115 Mbps in speedtest.net instead of about 30.

Oct 23, 2016 · The best way to test is using the many Windows built-in information, like the one in Windows Explorer, Performance in Task Manager or even the Ressource Monitor. They are accurate and give the information one need. Hi there on IE I get a MUCH faster result from OOKLA than with Firefox -- same server for test.

May 30, 2019 · To find the version, click on the three lines in upper right section. Click on 'about speed test'. At the bottom left area it shows version. Mine is v1.7.14.0. I tried installing Speedtest for Windows on a friend's computer running Win 10. It seemed to install OK, but had only a black background when it opened.
