Jun 21, 2022 · Obsidian armor competes with the likes of hallowed and spooky armor. Even post-nerf the whip bonuses are absolutely insane and can lead to extremely high dps with a combination of whip stacking and good minons. The one thing it's lacking compared to hardmode summoner armors are minion slots, but unless you really need those I'd go with obsidian.
May 31, 2022 · If your post plantera you should be getting Spooky armor. According to the wiki, obsidian armor is viable up to golem. Hell, I tend to use it against Moon Lord. it’s stats are beaten by spooky armor, but yeah, it’s better than hallowed, spider, tiki. Yes use spider armour or whatever spider armour is best.

Nov 24, 2022 · I prefer obsidian armor. WoF is super easy with it. obsidian if you only use 1 whip (exploration). bee if you use whip tag stacking (bosses). Obsidian Armor. You sacrifice 1 Minion for more Whip Range, Damage and Summons attacks are stronger. Makes WoL (or any Early HM mob) easier to deal with.
