In a future where time is money and the wealthy can live forever, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is a poor man who rarely has more than a day's worth of life on his time clock.
The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who comes into a fortune of time is too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as the "time keepers".
It costs time to cross time zone borders & that's how the rich make sure that the poor never cross over into their zones. Upon arrival, he enters a casino, where he meets an old millionaire, time-loaning businessman Philippe Weis and his daughter Sylvia (Amanda Seyfried).
