Frank Frazetta (born Frank Frazzetta / f r ə ˈ z ɛ t ə /; February 9, 1928 – May 10, 2010) was an American artist known for themes of fantasy and science fiction, noted for comic books, paperback book covers, paintings, posters, LP record album covers, and other media. He is often referred to as the "Godfather of fantasy art", and one of the most renowned illustrators of the 20th century.
The 7 page story appeared in Tally Ho comics, and was published in December of 1944, when Frazetta was only 15 years old. When asked about the book, Frank recalled: “All I did was one story, I was the kid who created the character. I did the pencils, and Giunta did the inking.

Frank Frazetta (February 9, 1928 - May 10, 2010) Frazetta was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of eight, at the insistence of his school teachers, Frazetta's parents enrolled him in the Brooklyn Academy of Fine Arts. He attended the academy for eight years under the tutelage of Michele Falanga, an award-winning Italian fine artist.
His legacy continues through the Frazetta Art Museum, which is located on Frazetta's estate in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and overseen by Frank Frazetta, Jr., and in the licensing of his images and massive social media presence maintained by daughter Holly and granddaughter, Sara, through their company Frazetta Girls.
