The Duel of Harlem, dubbed Harlem Terror by the press and the Harlem Incident by S.H.I.E.L.D., was a destructive showdown between Hulk and Abomination on the streets of Harlem. It began when Emil Blonsky transformed into the Abomination and fled to the streets following an experiment gone wrong at Grayburn College.
The Hulk followed his lead and helped the Abomination take over Kennedy Space Center, which Blonsky then tried to ransom; however, the Hulk eventually realized Blonsky’s true motives and turned against him.
Emil Blonsky is a former special-ops commander of the British Royal Marines who was loaned to SOCOM. In his efforts to apprehend Hulk, Blonsky was recruited by United States Army General Thaddeus Ross and injected with a variant of the Super Soldier Serum.
