Mike De Leon’s 1981 Filipino classic “Kisapmata,” stands out almost solely for its technical mastery in script and line delivery, that is, until the very end. Kisapmata’s shocking crescendo is about as bleak as it gets, nearing Haneke levels of disheartening.
