Actor and former bodybuilder Andrew Bryniarski was hired to portray Leatherface in Platinum Dunes's 2003 remake of the original film, and the only character to reappear from the original film.
Andrew was included by Entertainment Weekly in 2003's "It List" of the top 100 creative people in Hollywood. He also starred in New Line's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), playing the killer known as 'Leatherface". He reprised the role in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006).
