Brigham Young University (BYU) is a private research university in Provo, Utah, United States. It was founded in 1875 by religious leader Brigham Young and is sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).
Under-graduate. As BYU's sponsor, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints subsidizes tuition prices with its members' tithing funds. In principle, each student attending BYU is on scholarship.
The experiences students have at BYU prepare them for lifelong learning and service. Many BYU graduates continue their education and earn admission to top graduate schools in their field.
