Justin Jamal Pearson (born January 7, 1995; PEER-sən) is an American activist and politician. He is a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing the 86th district , covering parts of the city of Memphis .
Justin J. Pearson helped our community defeat two multi-billion dollar company’s crude oil pipeline which was stealing our land and threatening our drinking water. He helped pass three laws in Memphis and Shelby County and has continued his advocacy to stop interlocking injustices in our community.
Justin J. Pearson is a Memphis-based leader in environmental and social justice, and a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 86. He was expelled and reinstated for protesting for gun safety legislation, and won reelection with 94 percent of the vote.
