Beenox, also abbreviated to BX [2], is an Activision-owned video game developer company located in Québec City, Québec, Canada. The studio was founded in 2000 and worked mainly as a porting studio. On May 25, 2005, Activision acquired Beenox which became one of its subsidiaries.[3]
Oct 27, 2020 · Beenox – A Brief History. After releasing their first game in 2001, Beenox innovated in platform conversion technology, as the team “ported” AAA console games to PC and Mac platforms. Over the next four years, Beenox grew to a 32-person team, releasing over a dozen ports to those platforms.
