Roger Ashton-Griffiths (born 19 January 1957) is an English character actor, screenwriter and film director. [1] He is best known for his role as Mace Tyrell in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones.

He graduated from Lancaster University (BMus) and the University of East London (MA Fine Art), and began his career as a singer with English National Opera at the London Coliseum.
