Tarô Maki was born on 23 May 1955 in Takayama, Gifu, Japan. He is a producer and production manager, known for Tokyo Godfathers (2003), Millennium Actress (2001) and Downrange (2017).
Currently the president of GENCO Inc. Mr. Maki is involced with both Anime and Live Action films.

By 牧 太郎 2024年7月5日 編集長ヘッドライン日記. ︎喜ばしいこと。 旧優生保護法下で不妊手術を強制された被害者が国に損害賠償を求めた訴訟。 上告審判決で、最高裁大法廷は国の賠償責任を認めた。 まだ、日本にも「正義」が残っていた。 例の「東京高検検事長・黒川弘務さんの無理矢理定年延長」の裁判でも「正義」が勝った。 「一強の安倍晋三」がいなくなって、裁判官がまともな判断が出来るようになったのだろう。 ︎理解できないこと。 4日の東京株式市場。 日経平均株価が続伸。 史上最高値を上回る4万913円65銭。 半導体関連株が幅広く買われたらしいが、最悪の円安で、日本は貧乏国になっているのに……理解できない。 ︎嬉しいこと。

Born in 1955 in Gifu Prefecture. Entered TOHOKUSHINSHA FILM CORPORATION in 1977 after graduating from Waseda University. During the home video era, he was in charge of acquiring Western movies as well as production/distribution of movies.
