Troy Howell is an American writer, artist and illustrator, known especially by his cover art for the Redwall series and Greek and Norse mythologies by Mary Pope Osborne. He is married with two children. For the 10th Anniversary U.S. edition of Redwall, Howell illustrated six full-page color images. Howell was born in Long Beach, California.
At age two, Troy Howell launched his creative career with “Red Crayon on Green Carpet.” Myriad lines later, both written and drawn, while attending the Art Center School of Design, he debuted as an illustrator in Cricket magazine.
