Margit Vészi, the Hungarian correspondent, was living in Berlin when she received the news of the outbreak of the First World War. As the only Hungarian female war correspondent from the Faculty of War Correspondents of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, she could travel across countries and borders to report firsthand to Hungarian readers.
Margit Veszi was born on 27 April 1885 in Budapest, Hungary. She was a writer, known for Hotel Imperial (1918) and All in a Night's Work (1961). She died on 11 July 1961 in Palma, Majorca, Spain.
