Tyson Helton (born June 20, 1977) is an American football coach and former quarterback, who is the current head coach of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. He played college football at Houston from 1996 to 1999. [1]
Tyson Helton was named Western Kentucky University’s 21st head football coach on November 27, 2018. The 2024 campaign will mark his sixth season at the helm of the Hilltopper program after producing a 40-26 mark (including 28-11 in CUSA play) and reaching five bowl games in his first five years, with victories in four of those bowl games.
Tyson Helton, the younger brother of USC head coach Clay Helton, is in his second season as USC’s quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator. He joined the USC staff in January of 2016. In 2016, he was named the FootballScoop Quarterbacks Coach of the Year.
