Current Situation: The Buduburam Refugee Settlement is situated in Buduburam, Gomoa District in the Central Region of Ghana. It is located approximately 45 kilometers from the capital, Accra. The Settlement was established in 1990 to host Liberian refugees who came to Ghana to seek asylum owing to the armed conflict in Liberia.
