The City of Bradbury is a small, residential/equestrian-orientated community of approximately 1,000 nestled at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains below Angeles National Forest in Los Angeles County. Incorporated since July 26, 1957, the City is a true "contract city."
City History. The City of Bradbury is named after Louis Leonard Bradbury, who acquired 2,750 acres of the Rancho Azusa de Duarte; a Mexican land grant awarded to Andres Duarte before California became part of the United States, in 1892.
